NOVEMBER CERT MEETING
This month's meeting of the combined Sugarloaf and Tice Valley CERT areas will welcome our new CERT graduates. And introduce them to our CERT group. We also invite all of our other "newish" CERTs from prior training classes to come and learn some stuff that will make them more prepared to help their neighbors. We will also summarize the lessons we learned during the last CERT drill.
As a recent CERT graduate, you have attended seven classes and one drill, now it's time for the rest of your training to start. You have learned the “what" and "why" of being a CERT. Now you need to learn the "where" and the "how"!
Come meet other CERT members from your neighborhood and get connected! With this additional training, you will gain a better understanding of the equipment and supplies we currently have and how to use them. Come learn about our intelligence finding materials including detailed maps of our neighborhoods and what you should do the minute we are called to action. Most importantly, see what role you can play in your "neighborhood” CERT group!
We meet on the third Wednesday of each month. We look forward to seeing our new and our "new-ish" CERTs on Wednesday, November 16th, at 7:30 PM at the Tice Valley Gym, 2055 Tice Valley Boulevard, [near the Rossmoor Shopping Center].
Helpful hint: Due to the current construction at this location, parking may be a bit challenging after dark, so plan to arrive a few minutes early, -“just in case”.
