On Monday, Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurant, located at 1280 Newell Avenue (at the San Miguel Center), celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting. Owners Jonathan Shin and Tyler Roknipour were on hand to welcome guests and roll up their sleeves to help make sandwiches. Additionally, during this first week of business they are participating in a fundraiser for the 
Walnut Creek Education Foundation through February 4. 

Mayor Haskew, Council Member Silva, and Council Member Wilk were in attendance and gave 
welcoming remarks.

Last Thursday, January 25 Pizzalina Pizzeria and Taproom celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting and hosted the 
Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce monthly BASH event. Pizzalina is located at 2064 Treat Blvd. at the Countrywood 
Shopping Center.
