School Incentives

When every penny counts, energy efficiency can help schools reduce their operating costs and utility bills. Teachers play an important role in educating students about how they can help the environment by saving energy.

Rebates, Incentives, and Programs

  • PG&E’s Money Back Solutions for schools (Pre-K to 12). Every year, California schools spend $700 million on energy. That’s about the same amount they spend on school supplies.

  • The Bright Schools Program (California Energy Commission) offers technical assistance to help identify the most cost-effective energy-saving opportunities for school facilities.

  • The California Energy Commission offers no- and low-interest (1%) loans for education agencies and public agencies to fund energy efficiency and renewable energy generation projects.
