The City Treasurer has the responsibility for investment of funds in accordance with the California State government code and the investment policy adopted on an annual basis by the Walnut Creek City Council. Walnut Creek’s investment objectives are to minimize credit and market risks, maintain liquidity, and attain a competitive yield on its portfolio.
