The Board of Appeals is established to hear and decide appeals of notices, orders, decisions, or determinations made by the Building Official regarding the application and interpretation of the California Building Standards Code and the Municipal Code.

The Board of Appeals shall consist of five (5) members and up to two (2) alternates appointed by the City Council.

There is no defined meeting schedule. All meetings shall be special meetings noticed pursuant to California Government Code Section 54956.

In order to be eligible for appointment, you must be a registered voter. The members of the Board of Appeals need not be residents of the City.
